IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION
FOR ALL ATHLETES WISHING TO SIGN UP FOR OUR 2008 TRACK & FIELD SEASON

The programs offered thru Golden Ears Athletics have a limited number of openings. These positions are offered on a first-come-first-serve bases. Any programs that reach their limits prior to March 31st will automatically close and only accept waiting list registration.

On-Line Registration is only a preliminary registration and is not considered a "Complete Registration" until all fees and paperwork are received no more than one week after date of On-Line Registration has been submited. "Completed Registration" includes Online Registration, Membership fees, BC Athletic Membership Application & Fundraising cheques (If applicable). If the "Completed Registration" is not received after one week, it would be considered void

Please note, that this registration will be open to the general public after February 24th and processed on a first-come-first-server basis. It is expected that there will be a waiting list so we recommend that you take the time to register ONLINE now.

One full payment or two post-dated cheques for “Payment Plan” is acceptable. Please note: Club and/or BC Athletics application forms cannot be processed without an accompanying payment. Payment of club fees precedes any other payment to BCA or club commitment.

The fee for BC Athletics membership is due with the first payment. BC Athletics (BCA) is the umbrella group under which all affiliated clubs operate.

Payment by cheque :
- Payments in full, cheque to be dated current and should include the Program fee and the BC Athletic fee.
- Payment Plan (Not available for Track Titans & Track Rascal Programs) 2 cheques: Cheque #1 (BCA Fee + 1/2 Club Fee) dated current. Cheque #2 (remaining 1/2 of Club Fee + $ 5.00 processing fee) dated May 1, 2008.

Choosing a Program:
- Before you choose a program, you need to consider the age of which the athlete is/or will turn in the current year. example: Current year is 2008, so if born January 1, 1995 or December 31, 1995 - the athlete will register as a 13 year old. Please ensure you register in the correct program, as there will be a $ 10.00 processing fee to make any changes

Track Rascals: Fun, games type environment, intro to track & field. Variety of running, jumping, throwing activities. Non-competitive. Agility, coordination, speed, endurance, strength all developed.

Track Titans: Intro to track & field fundamentals. Variety of run, jump, throw activities reach session. Basic skills developed in all track & field event areas. Although participants may participate in the SD #42 Track meet, this is a non-competitive program. Designed for kids who have some track & field basics or have a high level of athleticism, when comparing with Track Rascals program. Agility, coordination, speed, endurance, strength all developed.

2008 Fundraising Obligation (not applicable for Track Titans/Track Rascals Program)

This season will include a Pub Night (date to be announced) to be held sometime in early June (more details to come). Our club will also be hosting a "two-day" Track Meet ("Eagle Classic") to be held on April 26 and April 27. (Again, more details to follow once season starts). Please ensure to keep these activities in mind and to support the fundraising efforts, which are required to keep the registration costs as low as possible.

* Track Titan families will be strongly encouraged to participate in the GEA social event / fundraiser Pub Night.

***Fundraising cheques required: 2 cheques of $100.00 (dated April 28/08 for “Eagle Classic”) and one for $50 dated June 10/08 for “Pub Night”)***
